- Stunning Alexander McQueen by Sarah Burton Spring 2012 'skeleton' maxi dress
- The skeleton dress is part of the McQueen DNA, first shown in Lee McQueen's Spring 1998 collection. It featured the “Spine Corset” made by jewelry designer Shaun Leane and cast from a human skeleton.
- Sarah Burton's Spring 2012 collection returned to the theme in a less literal, more purely beautiful way, as seen in the collection's iconic lace dress.
- This black gown, from the commercial line, pays homage to Elsa Schiaparelli's Surrealist skeleton dress in its stylized lines and striking silhouette.
- Dramatic padded shoulders, deep V neckline, high back and voluptuous train give major goddess vibes.
- The back of the dress is adorned with a spinal column of triangluar appliqués, and rib-like appliqués wrap around from the spine to the front of the dress just like the ribcage of the human body.

- Flat Measurements~ Chest 18" Waist 14" Hip 18" Length 63" to front hem, train is an additional 10" long
- Gentle stretch to the fabric, will work best for sizes S-M.
- Shown on size XS mannequin with no pinning. Could work for size XS if you don't mind a little extra room under the arms.
- Excellent condition with only gentlest wear. No damage, staining or alterations. Freshly dry cleaned and ready to wear

The flat measurements in the product description are the actual measurements of the garment when laid flat. Double the chest, waist and hip measurements for an idea of fit. Please remember to allow a little "space" in a garment beyond your body measurements for ease and a good fit.
