- Stunning 1930s Vionnet Adaption maxi dress
- Seductive illusion neckline embellished with shimmering claw set rhinestones~ they're sparklier and more noticeable in person than in the photos
- Dramatic balloon sleeves with little ties at the wrists
- Attached belt with Deco seaming and an original rhinestone buckle at the back of the waist
- Lightwieght woven fabric, probably rayon/ wool blend
- Side snap placket

- Belt will currently fit a 28" waist and can be altered to make it smaller. Waist of the dress itself is 28"
- Shown on size XS with waist pinned to fit
- Excellent condition with no damage, staining or alterations, only gentle wear to the net in places. Sturdy and wearable. Freshly cleaned and ready to wear
- The dress is dark black, a few of the photos are lightened to show details
- 'Adaption' labels were designs from Paris couture houses licensed for production in the US. There are copyright labels in the side seams of the skirt
- The House of Vionnet and its founder, Madeleine Vionnet invented the bias cut dress and draped styles that are such a mainstay of modern fashion
